THE KIDDO-PRENEUR SUMMER BAZAAR 2014!

On Saturday, May 31st, over a hundred children between the ages of 4-17 will launch their very own businesses. Some of them, seasoned Kiddo-preneurs, have been participating in the bazaar since it was established in 2011.

Kiddo-preneur, the first of it’s kind in the country, is a bazaar where all the sellers are children. The first bazaar was held at The Rockwell Club in Makati in December of 2011. Every year since then, Kiddo-preneur has held events aimed at increasing the level of financial literacy in the country and encouraging children to become entrepreneurs.

Kiddo-preneur believes that the values of entrepreneurship and hard work, should be instilled in children early on so that more and more of them grow up wanting to become entrepreneurs in the future.

The Kiddo-preneur Summer Bazaar, which will be held at The Atrium of Robinsons Place Manila, will run from 10am-6pm. Please come and support these bite sized entrepreneurs and their big ideas!

GIFT-GIVING STILL A GOOD MARKETING INVESTMENT

Is your PR budget being “realigned”? Before you trim or worse, scrap your budget for corporate gifts, think again.

Shrugging off corporate gift-giving as an unnecessary expense may be one of the biggest branding mistakes you can make. With ever-increasing competition across all sectors and industries, that little token might just be the final push that your brand needs to get its message across.

A restricted budget is simply an invitation to explore your creativity. Rather than just considering the cost, think about the perceived value of an item, anticipate the needs of the recipient, or even re-think the packaging for a more customized look. Most importantly, make sure whatever you’re giving reflects well on your brand.

Sounds complicated? Not really. Simplify your life and find what you need by visiting Corporate Giveaways 2014 at the SMX Convention Center on July 9-11, 2014.

The Corporate Giveaway Buyers’ Show on Business Gifts, Premiums, Promotional Ideas and Merchandise Incentives is an annual event held every July to help companies prepare for holiday and year-round gift-giving needs. This event will definitely be beneficial for Purchasing Marketing, Advertising and PR professionals, along with business owners, event managers, wedding planners, and the like as suppliers of quality and creative gift items will all be gathered under one roof.

“At Corporate Giveaways, the customers come directly to the suppliers.  There is the intent and goal to place and order as opposed to suppliers going on cold calls, interrupting customers’ busy business days, just for a 20% success rate,” explains Raquel Romero, President and General Manager of Worldexco, organizers of CG2014.

No need to travel far and wide to search for unique giveaways for Christmas or other major events.  No need to waste on transportation expense and valuable time that could be devoted to other pressing business matters when you just mark your calendars on July every year for this particular task.  And what’s even better, admission is FREE (but limited to adults ages 18 and above).

“At this business fair, we don’t encourage our exhibitors to retail during the show as this might get in the way of a big order.  We give them tips on how to display their items and showcase to the visitors how their products can be good corporate gifts. More than huge crowds, we would rather focus on getting the right visitors to the show. Quality over quantity “adds Romero citing advantages to exhibitors.

“We understand that not all corporate visitors will make an order right away, though there are  special cases when some companies are in urgent need and ready to place an order on the spot.  Usually, they come to browse, check what’s new, compare prices, products and negotiate with the suppliers. Our loyal exhibitors, some who have been with us for over 15 years, can attest to the event’s results year after year, “explains Bogee Romero, Worldexco Marketing Services Manager.

Now on its 27th year, Corporate Giveaways 2014 will showcase more than 80 participating companies with over 120 booths of advertising specialties, awards, medals and trophies, bags , and wallets, travel and storage essentials, balloon décor, caps and headgear, CEO gifts, Christmas giveaways, corporate neckties and uniforms, desktop accessories, organizers, handcrafted items, houseware, leathercraft, gadgets, mobile accessories, personal care products, food and beverage packages, writing instruments among others. Some of its regular visitors include representatives from the Jollibee Group, Nestle Philippines, Toyota Motors, Smart and San Miguel Corporation.

TAIWAN’S FINEST “FIFTEA” MILK TEA HAS ARRIVED

Step aside, milk tea imposters and wannabees, you have fooled the country long enough.  Let the expert take over.  Fiftea is in town to serve what real milk tea is all about.

You know that the milk tea craze is on the rise with the numerous brands flooding the market with their version of milk tea. After tasting Fiftea’s creamy, fresh version, you won’t get confused anymore.  Fiftea’s milk tea flavor is quite distinctive, that’s because the leaves are all imported and the trained baristas prepare them the right way.  If you don’t believe it, ask your Taiwanese friends if they heard of Fiftea and what they think of it.  Fiftea is one of the first brands of milk tea in Taiwan and is already established as a brand of high quality.

The problem with the Philippine market, is that Filipinos are not too discriminating with quality as they are still getting into the milk tea lifestyle.  Sadly, they have difficulty even distinguishing brewed milk tea from a powdered source.  All milk tea tastes the same, they will say.  Just like wine and coffee, one develops the taste buds with time.  Connoisseurs will agree on what makes a quality milk tea brand different from the common or badly-brewed ones.

What makes Fiftea different from the other brands?

First, the trained baristas.  Unlike the other companies whose habit is to change their baristas every six months, Fiftea maintains the people they train.  They have to complete 2 years in the company before they are deployed to franchises.  In that way, every milk tea served maintains the high quality and consistency trademark of Fiftea.  The baristas are carefully handpicked and screened prior to employment.

Second, the brewing process.  No self-respecting high end milk tea brand uses powder, always brewed.  Water is boiled separately before adding the tea leaves to get the freshest flavors and nutrients minus the bitterness from overboiled leaves.  The recipe is strictly followed, maintaining the golden ratio in every cup.  No additional sugar or water to adjust the quantity.  Even if the order is customized, quality and consistency is still maintained.  Containers for brewing and mixing are cleaned right away so as not to dilute the next cup of milk tea.
Third, the ingredients. The tea leaves are imported and sourced from a reputable grower of tea leaves.  So the final flavors sharp, distinct, and natural.  No chemicals are needed to heighten the flavors.

These are trade secrets that customers are not aware of, but should be wary of it the next time they order their milk tea.

So what are you waiting for? Go and try your first cup of fresh, creamy, natural and refreshing Fiftea milk tea and do tell us if we are wrong.
