Jessica Soho And Vic Sotto Chosen As The Most Trusted TV Host Presenters In The Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Consumer Survey 2012



Two of the most prominent media and showbiz personalities in the country were chosen by a Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand consumer survey to be the Most Trusted TV Host Presenters in the field of News and Entertainment.
Broadcast journalist Jessica Soho and actor Vic Sotto are the recipients of this   prestigious, annual award based on a recent survey by the iconic magazine.
Soho who received the same award in 2011 is known for her incisive news reports and riveting documentaries. 


The broadcast journalist has won numerous awards for her work which include the New York Film Festival for Coverage of a Breaking Story, and the George Peabody Award.
She is kept busy by her highly rated, magazine style show on GMA-7 called “Kapuso Mo, Jessica” and the “State of the Nation.” 


Sotto rose to showbiz fame as part of the wacky trio Tito, Vic and Joey.
He is also a producer of more than a dozen films with the “Enteng Kabisote” franchise as the most successful under his own M Zet Productions. 
Vic is presently one of the hosts of the popular, long-running noontime show “Eat Bulaga” on GMA-7 where he is known by the moniker “Bossing.”
The Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand, now on its 14th consecutive year in the Asia Pacific region, is a marketing institution which serves as a barometer in identifying consumer preferences and brand appeal of products in various categories.
The annual consumer survey coverage in Asia includes not only the Philippines but China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and India.
With a total of 8,000 respondents coming from eight Asian markets, Ipsos, Reader’s Digest research partner, managed the phone and postal survey in October 2011.

Reader’s Digest Philippines recently granted the Trusted Brand Platinum award to outstanding companies based on the result of its annual comprehensive  consumer survey. READER’S DIGEST SURVEY SAYS FILIPINOS SUPPORT LOCAL BRANDS TO HELP LOCAL ECONOMY GROW



According to a Reader’s Digest Asia consumer survey, 94% of Filipinos agree that supporting local brands will help the local economy grow and that 68% of them will likely purchase a local brand over that of an international one.
Seventy five percent of the consumer survey respondents are also likely to purchase an          eco-friendly product or service. When it comes to an eco- friendly product, 92% gave recyclable components as the most important factor to consider.
To the survey question “Before purchasing a product, which elements of the label do you read, if any?” 91% of Filipino respondents ticked nutritional information as the most relevant.
These highlights of the research findings are part of the annual Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand consumer survey implemented in various Asian countries which include Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, India, China, Hong Kong and the Philippines.
Ipsos, Reader’s Digest research partner and the world’s third largest research company, conducted the phone and postal survey covering 8,000 respondents, aged 20 and above with at least a secondary education and belonging to the top 50% of the population by household income.
Now on its 14th consecutive year, the Trusted Brand survey has since become a marketing institution serving as a barometer in identifying consumer preferences and recommendations.
The granting of the annual Trusted Brand Gold and Platinum awards was held last May 31, 2012 at the Genting Club, Resorts World Manila.
At the event, Reader’s Digest Asia Pacific executives from Australia and Singapore were present to hand over the awards to companies which scored the highest in the survey under 43 categories such as bank, insurance company, phone service, internet service provider, toothpaste, family restaurant, hospital, camera, car, air conditioner, juice and others.
